Ava Adore y Hightlights

Con este comentario voy a arruinar el poco respeto que había conseguido haciéndome el espabilidado con el blues, pero lo suelto igual.
Lo cierto es que llevo varios días que me ha vuelto a poseer el espíritu rockero. Son discos que me gustan mucho desde hace años pero como hace mucho que el blues le cogió todo el sitio al rock es curioso que haya vuelto a escucharlos hoy en día. Se ve que la cabra tira al monte.
El primer disco es el Ava Adore de Smashing Pumpkins. El grupo siempre me pareció bueno pero nunca le presté demasiada atención hasta que salió este disco. Ni siquiera se me ha pasado nunca por la cabeza montarme en la móda gótica ni nada por el estilo...
El caso es que hay muchas canciones que me gustan mucho. Ava Adore , Daphne Descends y Pug sobre todo.
La letra de Ava Adore me parece completamente preciosa. Es como soltar el animal que está dentro. Los instintos y pulsiones explicándose a través de la canción.

En el otro lado me ha dado por recuperar el tema "Hightlights" de los Backyard Babies. Siempre me ha gustado el ambiente apocalíptico que tiene esa canción.

Aunque las asociaciones entre imagen y música son muy interesantes nunca he sido muy partidario de los videoclips. En general tienden a estropear las cosas porque anulan la imaginación y tienden a estar guiados por intereses bastardos (comerciales sobre todo) pero no he encontrado imágenes en directo que sonasen bien.
